When should you ascend idle skilling? ›

First ascend when you reach desert and focus on the dmg perk. After that, the right time to ascend should be whenever you find yourself to be stuck far from the next zone and feel like you could reach your progress easily with your new starting levels and the AP you have accumulated to invest.

Training Perks persist through Ascension and Rebirth but spent points are reset. They can also be reset by spending 20 Gems or one time for free each Ascension/Rebirth. Each Training Perk can be upgraded to a maximum level of 99.

Ascension becomes available once the Grasslands is cleared and is accessible through the Portal. Ascending will reset most levels and Fighting progress, but awards AP to spend on useful perks that will improve future runs.

Kill Count Increase

The Death's Son secret grants +30% more kills when defeating monsters, which is further multiplied by crafted Enigmatic Boosters, a level 40 Smithing item. The level 120 Smithing Ensouled Head grants Kills per Kill (caps at +10).

Double Crafting

One of the last orange Mountains skill perks grants +20% chance to double craft per level, up to 100%. When successful, this perk allows you to craft two items for the cost of one, skipping the next upgrade cost and only consuming one forge charge.

Basically, increasing your World Level also increases the quality of the loot that's available in the world, and it also unlocks the ability to ascend your characters to even higher levels.

In general and as priorities in the Ascension Tree, you'll want to get the Legendary Belt, followed by the White Knight Minion, followed by the Bow Upgrades, Crafting, and then the Factory, Divinities and Ultra Ascension.

Ultra Ascension is unlocked through the Ascension Tree for 2,000,000 Slayer Points. Ultra-Ascending will reset way more than a normal Ascension, but also grant something way stronger in return: Ultra Slayer Points. These can be spent on Stones of Time.

The civilization secret is the check boxes found throughout the game. There are 10 empty circles around the Secrets portal. It should be noted some of the check boxes are hard to click and need to be clicked off to a side or even a little below. Also check boxes can be unmarked (Training check box) by accident.

How do you deal yellow damage in idle skilling? ›

(Babby Egg -> Lil Chicken). Any Minion that does a critical hit will also deal Yellow damage.

Clearing the Dungeon unlocks Purgatory, an advanced Fighting area with doubled idle speed and accuracy penalties. Clearing the Dungeon also unlocks Realm. Every monster in the Dungeon has a 1/480 chance to drop a unique Card, and have +80% chance afterwards to drop higher quality star cards.

When should I ascend for the first time? Your first ascension should at least involve buying Permanent Slayer, Soul Gatherer Bundle and Permanent Quests. Waiting until you're able to afford True Idle Slayer and Soul Reaper aswell is also an option. There's a tier list with further suggestions here!

Farming and Basic Play

Factory will become your best SP farm, with Mystic Valley and Haunted Mansion not far behind. Complete those quests, Ascend frequently to feed minions, and get more and more total SP.

Ascend often! Your ability to earn coins and Slayer Points (SP) increase every time you ascend. Your total SP increases your bonus Coin per Second (CpS) earning dramatically, and because of Soul Reaper (an upgrade purchased very, very early), every Slayer Point increases the number of souls you earn.
